Tehran, the capital of Iran, lies at the foot of the Alborz Mountains and stretches between 1,100 and 1,800 meters above sea level. It's the largest city in the Middle East, home to about 12.2 million people. The city serves as an industrial and cultural hub, with numerous museums, palaces, and art centers. Valiasr, the longest street in the region, is lined with significant squares. The climate is continental, with hot summers and cold winters.
