Irán
Iran, known in the past as Persia, is a country in the Middle East, lying between the Caspian Sea to the north and the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman to the south. It has around 85 million inhabitants, most of whom speak Persian. The capital, Tehran, delights visitors with palaces, museums and bustling bazaars. Iran's climate is varied: winters in the mountains are freezing, while summers in the central regions are scorching. The best time to visit is spring and autumn, when temperatures are milder.
