Ouarzazate
Ouarzazate is located in south-central Morocco, in the Drâa-Tafilalet region, at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains. Home to about 71,000 people, the city is renowned for its manganese, cobalt, and copper ore mines. The famous Atlas Studios, where films like "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Gladiator" were shot, operates in the city. Nearby, you'll find the ksar of Ait Benhaddou and the Taourirt Kasbahs.
