    Bodrum is a city in south-western Turkey, set on the Aegean Sea on the peninsula of the same name. Home to around 187 thousand people, it is a popular holiday destination known for its nightclubs and water sports. Historically it was the capital of Caria, where the Mausoleum of Mausolus, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, was raised. The Castle of Saint Peter and the ancient theatre are both worth seeing.
