    Luxor
    Luxor is a city in southern Egypt, set on the right bank of the Nile on the site of ancient Thebes. Known as the city of palaces, it attracts visitors from all over the world with its monuments. In Luxor it is worth seeing the Luxor Temple, the Karnak complex and the Valley of the Kings. The climate is hot, with summer temperatures exceeding 40°C and winter temperatures reaching 20°C. The best time to visit is the cooler months from November to March. In 1979 Luxor was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
