Singapur
Singapore is a city-state in South-East Asia, spread across the island of Singapore and several smaller islands. Its name comes from Sanskrit and means Lion City. The population is predominantly Chinese, and the official languages are English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil. Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands and Chinatown are all worth a visit. The equatorial climate keeps it warm all year round, but the best time to visit is from February to April, when there is less rain.
