Rotterdam, located in western Netherlands on the Nieuwe Maas, is a vibrant city in the Rhine-Meuse delta. As a major transport hub, it offers a well-developed network of highways, railways, and an airport. The city boasts the largest port in Europe, providing excellent access to the continent's interior. Although it was destroyed during World War II, it impresses with modern architecture and landmarks like the Gothic St. Lawrence Church. It's best to visit in spring or summer when temperatures are pleasant.
