Bolzano, also known as Bozen, is a city in northern Italy, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. Situated on the Isarco River, it serves as the capital of the autonomous province of Bolzano-Alto Adige. Home to about 103,000 people, the majority speak Italian, though a significant portion use German. The city is renowned for winter sports and its rich culture, such as the Archaeological Museum with the Ötzi mummy. Don't miss the Gothic cathedral, Mareccio Castle, and Runkelstein Castle.
