Zaragoza
Zaragoza, the capital of Aragon, lies in north-eastern Spain on the River Ebro. The city, whose name derives from the Roman Caesaraugusta, impresses with the Moorish Aljafería Palace and the Baroque Basilica of El Pilar. Zaragoza also has numerous museums and monuments that testify to its rich history. The climate is continental, with hot summers (30°C) and cool winters. The best time to visit Zaragoza is spring or autumn, when the weather is ideal for sightseeing.
