Brémy
Bremen, on the River Weser in northern Germany, is the capital of the country's smallest federal state, Bremen, which also includes Bremerhaven. The city is an important industrial and commercial centre, and the port of Bremen-Bremerhaven is one of the largest in Germany. In the old town it is worth seeing the Gothic town hall with its Renaissance facade, the Roland statue and the Romanesque Cathedral of St Peter. Bremen is also known for the monument to the Town Musicians of Bremen. The best time to visit is spring and summer, when temperatures are moderate.
